如其书名所示,本教程旨在帮助商务英语专业学生和相关从业人员通过视听途径学习和了解商务知识,巩固并进一步提高英语听力和口语水平。

全书共12个单元。每单元由三部分组成:Preparatory Activities,In and Out和Moving On。Preparatory Activities主要通过阅读文章和讨论的方式来激发学习者的思维,引导他们进入主题的学习;In and Out包含多个音(视)频材料及相应的听、说练习,训练学习者的听说技能,同时吸收商务知识和信息;Moving On既有阅读文章,又有较复杂的口语活动,旨在巩固、提高并进一步拓展学生的商务知识和口头表达能力。

本书在提高学习者听说能力的同时,也强调了对于一般商务知识的掌握,有助于培养商务环境中的交际能力。
